Hi!

My name is Daniel Paval and I’m a co-founder of Scorpion Software, a youthful web development company based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Our expertise is focused towards delivering Java enterprise-ready web solutions by means of open-source technologies, an agile approach and innovation.

Since we started the company, we constantly developed a knowledge database with technical solutions to many of the issues we have run into. We recently decided to start publishing the solutions on this blog as a way of giving back to the Java community so we hope that other developers will find it helpful.

Our main technology interests relate to the Java Enterprise Edition, the Spring and Hibernate frameworks as well as the MySQL relational database and the JQuery JavaScript library. You will find a more detailed list of the technologies in use at Scorpion Software on our web site.

I will now introduce Silviu Cacoveanu who is also a co-founder of Scorpion Software. We will probably take turn in posting on this blog. Please feel free to contribute with any comments or questions that you may have.
